What is your definition of success?

Regardless of the events that brought you to the battle, you really have only two maneuvers to choose.  Surrender and become a prisoner or face the battle directly and experience all of the possibilities that your creativity and the changes you make have to offer.

Selecting the route of the true warrior and facing your fears and challenges without hesitation is my definition of success.

Pull the Pin and Declare WAR

Work is a never ending flurry of firefights and battles, and you will never climb the ranks from a private to general unless you can identify who the enemies are.  People can be coy, clever and cunning when masking their intentions, and just because they wear the same uniform, does not mean they are on your side.  You need to think clearly and realistically.  Learn to sniff out the enemy and spot them by the tracks and trash they leave behind.  And once you discover their location...........declare war.

Beware of the Business Blocker

It's not very hard to become stalled by trying to figure out what your customer really sees as their next big hurdle.  And when you do finally figure it out, it becomes an even bigger challenge to break through the various success blockers who try and keep you from getting your solution in front of the people who want to buy it.

It's easy to forget what the blocker wants.

If the blocker can't make money or get a promotion from your solution, why will they help you?  And if the blocker sees an easier path to making money or getting that promotion, they may mislead you.  You can view these things as foolish or even something that won't happen to you. Or you can wake up and realize it is simply a part of the process and is as "real" as the gatekeepers who rely on them.

Beware of the blockers and the paths they map out for you.  The mistake could make you forget the end user. And we know how that that story ends.

NEVER THROW YOUR LAST PUNCH: The Mind of the Scrapper

What wears you out and beats you up the most is the past.  You must not stop fighting against the past and drive yourself to defend and battle the present moment.  Be tough and relentless on yourself; never duplicate the same exact fight sequence twice.  Declare WAR on your mind.  Don't allow yourself to get sloppy in your strategy... be nimble and smart with every motion.
